Why should I take the PADI Rescue class?
The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
The Rescue class is a MUST for every diver.

What do I need to start?
Divers must have obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver certification or a qualifying certification from another organization, successful completion of a sanctioned CPR/First Aid (Emergency First Response) program in the past 24 months, and be at least 15 years old or 12 years (Junior Rescue Diver)
What will I be doing or learning?
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, you'll cover:
Self-rescue and diver stress
Dive first aid
Emergency management and equipment
Swimming and non-swimming assists
Panicked diver response
Underwater problems
Missing diver procedures
Surfacing the unconscious diver
In water artificial respiration
Egress (exits)
First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
Dive accident scenarios
How much is it going to cost me?
This class includes classroom and ocean dives along with your certification card!
The total training fees are $125.00. The fees are broken down in order to provide many training options to our clients. The breakdown is as follows:
When you sign up for the class, the Classroom/Pool Fee will be collected. The instructor will collect the Instructor/Certification Fee during the first night of class.
How long is the class?
The PADI Rescue Diver course is a one week course consisting of two classroom sessions and one weekend of pool/ocean dives. The pool/ocean training will include self-rescue skills, how to deal with tired divers, panicked divers, lost divers, unconscious divers and many other rescue topics.
What will I need to buy?
Each Diver will need to have the following items:
PADI Rescue Diver Kit (Manual, DVD & Dive Accident Slate)
Audible Signaling Device (Whistle or Dive Alert)
Visual Signaling Device (Signal Tube)
Cutting device (Knife or Shears)
Pocket Mask
Before your ocean dives, you will need your own personal snorkeling gear which includes a mask, snorkel, fins, boots, gloves.
You will also need to have a PADI Dive Table, a timing device or dive computer, and a log book.
What can I rent?
You may rent the rest of your SCUBA diving equipment if needed (not included in course fee). This includes your wetsuit, hood, regulator with compass, weight belt, buoyancy control device (BCD) and tanks.
Medical Concerns or Questions?
If you are currently under the care of a Medical Doctor, or have a pre-existing medical condition that requires permission from a Physician, you will need to have a signed Medical Release form from your doctor before you can participate in any in-water activities.
